OUR INITIATIVES
Community Consultation
In consultation with the Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation (TCII) personnel in St. Anthony, we held a very successful community consultation session on September 25 in Gunner's Cove. With approximately 50 people in attendance, we had representation from all communities and most business leaders in our area.
A number of initiatives were highlighted by the group. Please see the attached reports for details. Board Members continue to discuss and make plans to address these identified needs in our area. ![]()
Day Care Centre
We have had many conversations with many local residents regarding the need and establishment of a Day Care Centre for our area. Board Members developed a questionnaire to administer to identified families to ascertain interest. A copy of the questionnaire is attached for your perusal in pdf format. Discussions are ongoing regarding the feasibility of such a centre. Details will be forthcoming.

Community Councils
Since our establishment, we have met on several occasions with the Community Council of St. Lunaire-Griquet. We continue to work in concert with them in the promotion and development of the area.
SABRI
We have met on several occasions with personnel from SABRI (St. Anthony Basin Resources Incorporated). This group has successfully completed several projects to enhance this area over the past number of years. We consider them an important partner in our development initiatives and will continue to work with them.
Other Meetings
We have met with a variety of government departments and other economic development associations. We have also participated in forums in our area organized by NorTip and Memorial University of Newfoundland. We seek to become more involved and informed with the goal of promoting and enhancing the communities within our region.
Regular Board Meetings
Our Board meets at least once a month. If you have issues, concerns or ideas you wish to share with us - please contact us.
